Dixie Black, CGFM, CPM
Accounting Director

Dixie Black is the Accounting Director with the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs. She has been employed with the State for over 25 years. She is a graduate of Troy State University with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She earned her designation as a Certified Government Financial Manager in 2010 and Certified Public Manager in 2012.

Dixie began her State career with the Department of Transportation in 1999. She has served as secretary on the Executive Committee and the CGFM committee for the Montgomery Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA). Dixie is currently serving as secretary for the State Women’s Leadership Division Committee with the Alabama Farmers Federation. She also serves as Chairperson of the Butler County Farmers Federation Women’s Leadership Committee and serves on the Executive Committee of the Butler County Farmers Federation.

Dixie is married to Stacey Black and has two children, Chase and Timber. Dixie enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering her time to help others.
